Over 80 students from local parishes came together for a Holy Spirit centered Confirmation retreat inspired by Acts 4:31. Participants learned how to strengthen their relationship with the Holy Spirit and recognize the gifts that will guide them in living the Gospel with courage.
The Chancery Day of Renewal and Diocesan Night of Renewal brought participants together to pray, reflect, and encounter Christ anew. Bishop Bruce A. Lewandowski, Father John Riccardo, and the ACTS XXIX team guided the gathering, insiring renewed faith and missin across the diocese.
Over 40 members of St. John Paul II Parish came together for a dynamic Charism Workshop led by the Evangelization Team. During the session, participants were equipped with tools for discernment, rooted in Scripture and the teachings of the Magisterium. It was a powerful opportunity to begin exploring how the Holy Spirit is actively moving in the hearts of those present—and to discover the unique spiritual gifts each person brings to strengthen the missionary life of the parish.
Fr. Thomas Macdonald taught the March class for the Certificate in Catholic Theology program. The topic for the class was "The Liturgy and the Sacraments." The students benefitted from Fr. Macdonald discussing the concepts of liturgy, worship, sacrifice, as well as an overview for each of the seven sacraments of the Church.
Fr. Macdonald is a priest of the Archdiocese of Boston and currently serves as Vice-Rector of St. John's Seminary in Brighton, Massachusetts.
Each year, on the first Sunday in Lent, catechumens and candidates who are in the OCIA process at their parish and looking to enter the Catholic Church head to the Cathedral for the Rite of Election and of the Call to Continuing Conversion.
