Director, Office of Family, Youth, & Young Adult Evangelizationdsousadpvd.orgDennis Sousa is a native of Scituate, Rhode Island, and currently serves as the Director of the Office of Family, Youth, and Young Adult Evangelization for the Diocese of Providence.
Prior to his diocesan role, Dennis served for twelve years as Director of Faith Formation at Saint Philip Church in Greenville, where he helped lead parish renewal efforts focused on evangelization, discipleship, and catechetical formation. He also brings professional experience in finance and construction, along with military service in the United States Army as an Airborne Ranger Medic.
A disciple of Jesus Christ, Dennis is deeply committed to the mission of the Church to proclaim the Gospel and form missionary disciples. He is a devoted husband and father and has been married to his wife, Jennifer, for twenty-four years. Their daughter, Grace, is a recent graduate of Benedictine College in Kansas.
Dennis holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Master of Arts in Theology from Providence College.
