The Diocese of Providence Catholic School Office hosted over sixty teachers at its annual New Teacher Orientation on Wednesday, August 20. Attendees, including both first year teachers and experienced teachers new to the Diocese of Providence, enjoyed presentations from Secretary of Evangelization and Pastoral Planning Michael Lavigne, Superintendent of Schools William Klements, and various other members from the Catholic School Office and Secretariat team. Topics included the mission of Catholic education, teaching as a transformative vocation, and building supportive teaching communities. The event concluded with the celebration of Mass at the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul. New and returning teachers across the Diocese are in our prayers as they return to school in the weeks ahead!
