Certificate in Catholic Theology Ceremony!

We had another great class for the 2025-2026 Certificate in Catholic Theology program. Over 40 people completed the requirements to receive the certificate. On Saturday, September 12, Bishop Bruce Lewandowski celebrated a ceremony at which participants received their Certificate in Catholic Theology. This program is a great opportunity for ongoing learning of the Catholic Faith. Bishop Bruce shared his vision, that more Catholic adults might come to participate in formational opportunities such as this.

In recent history, we have focused almost exclusively on the formation of children. However, the Church documents and the situation in Rhode Island indicate that we must focus our efforts on evangelizing and forming adults in the Catholic faith. What can we do in parishes and in the diocese to make this ecclesial vision a reality? The Certificate program is a great opportunity.
